Referral Program Terms

To earn a referrer reward you must hold an active Locale Premium subscription at the time your referred friend subscribes andat the time the reward is released (approximately 7 days after the friend's subscription activates). Banned accounts are ineligible at every stage.

Only new Locale accounts qualify as "friends." A referral code cannot be applied to an existing account or retroactively to a prior subscription.

When a new user signs up using a valid referral link and subscribes to any Locale Premium plan, they receive a one-time 20% discount on their first invoice. The discount is applied automatically at checkout — no manual code is required.

When your referred friend's subscription remains active for 7 days with no refund, one free month of Locale Premium is credited to your account as a customer balance credit. The credit is applied automatically against your next invoice.

The reward is forfeited (not carried forward) if you no longer hold an active subscription at the time of release.

You may earn at most 10 referrer rewards in total. Referrals beyond this cap or beyond 5 new conversions per rolling 7-day window are held for manual review and may not be automatically rewarded.

A pending reward is voided if the friend refunds their first subscription within 7 days of activation. Partial refunds of 50% or more of the original invoice amount also void the reward.

If your referred friend files a chargeback or dispute after your reward has already been released, your reward will not be reversed. However, their Locale account will be suspended.

Self-referrals (referring your own account, a shared payment method, or the same Stripe customer) are prohibited and will be voided. Locale reserves the right to void rewards, suspend accounts, or disqualify participants if we detect fraudulent, automated, or bulk referral activity.

Locale may modify or discontinue the referral program at any time without prior notice. Pending rewards that have already met all conditions at the time of a change will be honoured; future referrals will be subject to the updated terms.

The customer balance credit that delivers the referrer's free month reduces the gross amount of a VAT-inclusive invoice. The VAT amount on that invoice will be lower accordingly.
